What are the questions customers most often ask you?
As a family-owned and operated company, we find many of our customers what to get to know who we are.
Angel Floors, Inc. is headed jointly by my husband, Mauricio Antonio (“Tony”) and me, Roxana. We started very small in Spring, 2005. We now have three skilled and experienced teams for handling floors of all types and ages. I do the estimates and run the administrative side of the business. Tony supervises the job sites and depending on the detail of the job will assist in the completion of the job.
Who is the Angel? You or your husband?
Neither! It happens that we were at the right place at the right time. Against all odds we started this business and a family, and against all odds we are thriving in a business we take great pride in.
Do you sub-contract your jobs?
No, all our employees work for Angel Floors, some are even family. In addition to Tony and me, our team also includes, Tony’s two cousins, who head a work crew for us; my Dad, who occasionally joins us; and my sister, who advises us on web related issues. In the summers my son, who is learning disabled, works with us to learn the flooring trade. You may even meet my young daughter, Atiana and/or Maya, who comes with me to make estimates and learn the value of hard work.
Do you plan to expand beyond 3 crews?
We choose to have 3 crews and, you can quote me, “We-will-only-have-three-crews, ever.” By limiting our company to 3 crews, we can have both a manageable, detailed oriented company focused on our customers, and a happy home life. We believe these two things go hand in hand. We started this company based on our desire to provide quality floor work at reasonable prices, but most importantly to have the means to raise a family, as well as to contribute to the community.
How is Angel Floors involved in the community?
Our community work is guided by this maxim:
Success is not a destination; it is only part of the journey,
Enabling you to reach your ultimate fulfillment,
And that is to give something back and help make a difference” – Robert H. Smith
For several years, we have been involved with the Latin American Youth Center's Upward Bound Program. The organization recently recoginzed Roxana with an award for Angel Floors' yearly contributions.
